…perhaps without the triumph.

So, after a two-week hiatus, we returned with the Football Picks, only for me to go 2-2. Whoopdee-freakin’-do. Of course I fared better than Jeffy, who showed a little rust from the layoff, and went 0-4. This brings my overall record to a disappointing 15-17 (under .500 and far under profitability if we’d actually made bets on these games). Jeffy, ahead of me until this past week, drops to 14-18 overall.

So while the goal of actually turning a profit might be a bit lofty this season, secondary goals like “getting back to .500″ and “making better picks than a guy who’s picking based on the mascots” are still attainable. Or at least I hope they are.

So here’s a week-by-week recap of what we’ve been up to, just to say “I’m sorry” for missing weeks 9 and 10:
